Graeme was in need of a personal trainer, and through mutual friends was introduced to Rebecca. After six months of having his advances turned down, Graeme proved that persistence beats resistance and finally got a date with his trainer. But this union was much more than just romance.
Infinity was created to help everyday Australians, reduce their debt, create wealth and secure their future. Success comes from creating a relationship with you built on Care, Integrity, Passion and Trust. We believe most families have received a poor deal from financial institutions and we are driven to fix that one Australian home at a time.
After moving in with each other in January, Graeme and Rebecca combined their mutual passion for finance with their desire to get a better deal for Mums and Dads. They locked themselves away for six months to work on a business plan and strategy and from this the Infinity Group was born. They moved to Port Macquarie, working out of Bec’s Nan and Pop’s house, and had 30 clients within 30 days. By October, they had opened their first office with just a couple of desks and Infinity’s first staff member and receptionist, Emma.
Infinity Group had now grown to 25 staff and an office in Singapore. Port Macquarie had given Graeme and Bec so much so they decided to start giving back and investing into the community. This started with a Jeep Giveaway Competition for clients, won by the Geary Family. Graeme and Bec also provided annual scholarships to "All Stars Dance Studios" for boys and girls whose families were not in a position to afford fees. By the end of the year, with over 250 clients, the big smoke was calling and Infinity Group opened a Sydney office in Bella Vista. Parking was always a battle though, with a Big Red Car always taking up three spaces courtesy of Infinity's neighbours, The Wiggles!
After commuting between Sydney and Port Macquarie, driving through the night mid-week, Graeme and Bec set up house in Sydney with their two cats Hugo and Chili. Infinity Group gave away a $30,000 home renovation to the Thompson family and also took $30,000 off the Walmsley family’s mortgage. Infinity opened a second Sydney office in North Sydney, dedicated to sports and entertainment, after hearing too many stories about young athletes being taken advantage of financially. The stellar year was topped off by Graeme’s proposal to Bec - and she said yes, with a little less resistance this time!
Love was still in the air as Infinity celebrated its second inter-office romance with the engagement of Gemma and Matt. Infinity Group became the back-of-jersey sponsor of the Cronulla Sharks, who went on to win their first NRL premiership - but we won’t take all the credit! The company welcomed its first CEO, Matt Phelan, and opened an office in Melbourne. On the home front, Graeme and Bec’s cats Hugo and Chili were introduced to their new sparring partners, Bella and Lily, the French Bulldogs.
After a premiership-winning season in the Shire, Infinity Group opened its third Sydney office in the heart of Cronulla. Infinity’s team of brokers went mobile in 2017, eliminating debt, creating wealth and securing the financial futures of Aussie Mums and Dads, one home at a time.
